At the beginning of March in 2019, we were in Patagonia and unaware of the exponential expansion of the COVID virus. We came back from a hike and the staff at Tierra Patagonia ran out to our jeep and informed us we needed to call Roam Travel right away. As borders and airports were closing rapidly around us, we had to get out pretty darn fast. The team at Roam Travel took care of everything. On our four hour journey to the airport in Punta Arenas, everyone on the bus was freaking out about how to get home, nobody had air transport back to the States, except us. You know the value of your travel consultant when you see everyone else around you freaking out, wondering how they’re going to get home, and you are comfortable in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of for you. Even in an emergency situation. Our flights went very smoothly and we had a greeter met us at the airport (on both ends) and got us checked in and settled in the lounge.
